    Establishment of the first Language Laboratories in the FISIPOL UIR building

    Received a grant from PT CALTEX (CPI) in the form of 1 lab unit

  • 2001

    Received a grant from Germany for 1 lab unit

  • 2007

    Received a grant from RAPBNP

  • 2013

    - UIR lab development in the form of 1 set of Multimedia labs

    - Officially it has the name Language Study Center

  • 2019

    Based on the Chancellor's Decree, it was changed to a Language Center

Objective

  • Producing graduates who have high morals, intelligence and expertise, and are able to compete at national and international levels.
  • Produce professional human resources who have the ability to reform knowledge and skills so that they are able to compete in national and international forums.
  • Producing ESP lecturers who are highly moral, creative, and have high expertise to guide English language teaching.

Vision

To become a language training center that produces reform students who are knowledgeable and master of technology, qualified and have special skills who are professional, creative, skilled and can compete at national and international levels.

Mision

  • Improving the quality of English, Arabic and Indonesian language learning programs for UIR students.
  • Improving the quality of training programs in English, Arabic and Indonesian for staff and lecturers to produce professional human resources who have the ability to reform knowledge and skills so that they are able to compete in national and international forums.
  • Manage the quality of English, Arabic and Indonesian language training programs for the public and the general public which produces people who have language skills in national and international forums.
  • Manage the quality of English language training and teaching programs to produce ESP lecturers who are professional, creative and skilled.
  • Organize continued cooperation within and outside the scope of the university in developing language education and training.
